The Global Fund Board is currently seeking health care and development professionals to serve on the Technical Review Panel, the independent group of experts that review funding applications. The Global Fund relies on the Technical Review Panel to ensure its investments are strategically focused and aligned to the Global Fund Strategy 2017-2022.

Applicants should be experts in one or more of the following primary areas of expertise:

HIV
Tuberculosis
Malaria
Resilient and sustainable systems for health
Human rights and gender
Strategic investment and sustainable financing

In addition, expertise in the following cross-cutting areas is highly desirable:

Challenging operating environments
Community systems strengthening
Program management

Applicants are experts and leaders in their field, have strong academic credentials and broad experience in program development and/or implementation at the country level. They also have a sound understanding of key issues that impact implementation capacity. Skills in reviewing funding proposals or programs and/or advising health programs are considered an asset.

The Board’s Strategy Committee oversees the recruitment and selection of Technical Review Panel members, and the 2019 application process is handled by Devex.
